Anlässlich der 800-Jahr-Feier der Stadt Siegen findet der Westfalentag 2024 in Siegen statt. Dies hat der Vorstand des Westfälischen Heimatbundes (WHB) auf Initiative von Heimatgebietsleiter Dieter Tröps entschieden, der dem Vorstand des WHB angehört. Ort des Westfalentages wird die Siegerlandhalle sein. Dem WHB gehören insgesamt 565 Heimatvereine und rund 700 ehrenamtliche Heimatpflegerinnen und -pfleger an. Erwartet werden bei der eintägigen Tagung mit Vorträgen, Workshops und Exkursionen rund 500 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer aus ganz Westfalen.
