As the only federal gold village in the district of Siegen-Wittgenstein, Diedenshausen is home to a special highlight: an old home local history museum.

 The local craft tradition is the theme on the first floor, where visitors can see a working loom and the workshop of a shoemaker. The local archive and library are also located there. On the upper floor, the history of the watchmaking craft in Diedenshausen since 1770 can be traced. In addition, the local history association shows three to four changing exhibitions annually on craft, cultural and historical topics.Outstanding is the memorial, which reminds of a great son of the village:
