Winter fun for the whole family!
The FSG Oberes Siegtal club operates a ski slope with ski lift and connected ski hut on the Nordhelle hill in Walpersdorf. The around 340 m-long ski lift has bars with a cable guide at hip height. The piste can be prepared when there are snow levels of 25 cm and above. The slope is floodlit during the evening. Only skiers are permitted - no snowboarding. A trail (4 km) has been laid for cross-country skiers from the ski hut, and there is a small toboggan run for children.

Lift times when there is sufficient snow (natural snow):

  • Monday to Friday: 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Saturday: 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
  • Sunday: 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm

A small snack bar and drinks are available at the ski hut next to the piste. The club website provides information as to whether the piste is open, or phone 02737 5444, 0160 3717130 (Meinolf Büdenbender), or 0171 7286950 (Georg Potyka).

Public transport

The Walpersdorf Märzbecherweg is served by the SB5 and L167 bus routes. From there, the ski slope is a 600 m walk away.

From Siegen / Bad Laasphe: SB 5 timetable

From Deuz: L 167 timetable

Getting there

The village of Walpersdorf is on the L 719 and is connected to the A 45 motorway via Wilnsdorf. From the A 4 and after the Olpe-Süd motorway junction, there is a connection via the B 54 to Siegen. From there, follow the B 62 via Dreis-Tiefenbach to Netphen. At the roundabout at the entrance to the town, take the first exit and follow the L 729 ring road to Deuz. Here, follow the L 719 through Grissenbach and Nenkersdorf to Walpersdorf. Shortly after the entrance to Walpersdorf, turn right into Märzbecherweg and immediately afterwards, turn right again into the lane, which you follow on the left-hand side. You will now see the ski slope diagonally on the left in front of you, at the edge of the forest.

Parking

There is limited parking below the slope.
