The Kulturhaus Lÿz (arts centre) is the essential venue for theatre, music, cabaret, film, variety theatre and literature in Siegen.
With tens of thousands of visitors and up to 200 events per season, Lÿz is one of the largest venues in South Westphalia. In the historical atmosphere of the former “School for Higher Daughters” (Lyceum), many popular artists from all over Germany have gathered their first stage experiences. Current show legends and cabaret gems who are connected to the arts centre situated in Siegen’s St.-Johann-Straße 18, are always happy to return and create a big city flair around the theatre.
The exciting programme mix, the balanced coexistence of “good old acquaintances” and promising newcomers have earned Lÿz its excellent reputation among artists and visitors alike, which it reaffirms every year with top-class events from the fields of cabaret, literature and jazz.
The Kultur!Büro (Culture!Office) of the district of Siegen-Wittgenstein is responsible for the programme and event organization for the Lÿz. The sponsor of the arts centre is the district of Siegen-Wittgenstein.
