Turn-by-turn directions

Starting at the Haincher Höhe hikers’ car park, take the left-hand path at the fork. This takes you gradually uphill over gentle slopes. After around 1.5 km, you reach the Rothaarsteig hiking trail. You pass the Kaffeebuche picnic area. From there, you can enjoy a beautiful view out into the Johannland region. After 800 m, the “Rittershäuser Wetterstein” is reached. After 1.2 km, turn right. Always keep to the left at the end of the path. You will now see a steep, short ascent ahead up to the Jagdberg.

Once you reach the top, take the right-hand path towards Heiligenborn at the path crossing. Turn left when you reach Heiligenborn cemetery. After 1.2 km, take the left-hand path again. After 800 m, you again reach the path crossing on the Jagdberg. From there, follow the Rothaarsteig trail towards Hainchen-Kaffeebuche. Over the next 1.5 km, there is a rapid descent. Once you reach Rittershäuser Wetterstein, keep to the right. You will reach the Kaffeebuche after 1 km. From here, take the same route back to the starting point.
