The tradition of charcoal burning is still alive and well in Netphen-Walpersdorf. A themed trail explains the ancient craft of charcoal making. The forest information centre at Forthaus Hohenroth offers insights into nature conservation and forest management. Our younger guests are particularly keen on the game reserve – and on the fabulous beasts known as “Dilldappen”, which they can track along a special path.

Auch im Winter hat der Weg seinen Reiz. Die Mondlandschaften sehen mit Schnee und Sonnenschein gar nicht mehr so trostlos aus. Es war eine schöne Wanderung! Die Ausblicke von der Kammhöhe ins bergige Hessen und ins flache, grüne Westfalen waren beeindruckend. Die Beschilderung war sehr gut. Mit der Bahn ist der Startpunkt Dillbrecht Bf. sehr gut zu erreichen.
