Winter Activities in Siegen-Wittgenstein

You’ll be familiar with the “Wintersport Arena Sauerland - Siegen-Wittgenstein”, the largest snow sports facility north of the Alps. The Siegen-Wittgenstein section and our other skiing areas tend to be quiet corners; easy to reach but without the crowds. Here, you can hear the snowflakes falling. You can look forward to untouched snow, but also well-prepared cross-country ski tracks and heady descents.

Active holidaymakers can choose from a large number of winter hiking trails and cross-country ski tracks. Our ski clubs offer ski rental and courses. Lifts take you to the “Hesselbach glacier” on the Gillerberg hill, and up to an altitude of 520 meters in Burbach. Each of our Alpine descents has something special to offer: the “glacier”, a snow machine, the Giller, a snowboarding school, Burbach’s ski hut and a particularly beautiful sun terrace. During the evening, we switch on the floodlights for you.

You’ll find peace and solitude during a snow shoe hike. Whether you choose a wilderness where wisents live or a hike by torchlight, an exciting tour of discovery is guaranteed, with a guide and rented equipment on request.
