Hilchenbach-Lützel winter sports area

In Hilchenbach, you can have fun in the snow right outside your front door. However, in the winter weather, a trip to the Ginsberger Heide heathland (Giller) is really good fun.

The Hilchenbach-Lützel winter sports area is located in the Hilchenbach district of Lützel. A ski lift with floodlights, a toboggan track, cross-country ski trails with different routes up to 7 km long, cleared winter paths, a skiing school certified by the west German skiing association (pre-booking required), a snowboard school (with pre-booking) and free parking make it well worth taking the trip to the Giller hill.

During the winter season, a daily snow report is published, which is available on the Hilchenbach town website. The webcam gives you an up-to-date view onto the Ginsberger Heide, a popular day trip destination directly on the Rothaarsteig hiking trail, and contains information about current events and the weather. The site also tells you whether or not the lift is in operation.
