At the DSV Nordic Active Center Girkhausen, cross-country skiing enthusiasts get their money's worth. The altitude offers comparatively high snow reliability. Access is possible from both the ski hut "Auf der Steinert" and from the Albrechtsplatz hiking parking lot at the B480/B236 intersection. Due to the wide tracks, all trails are continuously groomed for classic and skating techniques and have a direct connection to the Rothaar trail.

From Bad Berleburg - B 480 northbound, L 721 to Girkhausen approximately village center, turn left onto the street "Im Ermelsbach", follow the street straight ahead until the ski hut is reached on the right.
From Winterberg - B 480 southbound, Hoheleye - exit on the left towards Girkhausen, L 721 to Girkhausen approximately village center, turn right onto the street "Im Ermelsbach", follow the street straight ahead until the ski hut is reached on the right.

In winter conditions, you have a wonderful view!
However, we advise you, in case of heavy snowfall, to walk up to the hut rather than skiing.
