Hikers can enjoy beautiful views and peaceful sections through the forest as well as cultural sights and opportunities to rest.
The pilgrimage site Eremitage on the Rödgen, over 300 years old and a listed monument, includes among other things a chapel, a hermit's cell, a small shrine with hermit's grave, a stations of the cross path, and a forest altar. The tradition of Marian pilgrimages is still maintained here today. The architectural style of the chapel built in 1684 recalls the Renaissance but also combines elements of Gothic style. Inside the chapel is a Baroque altar from 1736. The hermit’s cell is one of the oldest half-timbered buildings in the Siegerland.
A little off the path is the approximately 16 m high Förderturm typical for Siegerland with a shaft building. In the shaft building, the "Hängebank", there is an exhibition about the social history of mining, the mine surveyor and his work, as well as the history of the Grimberg mine.

Directions
We start the route at the Eremitage in Niederdielfen. From there, pass the day care center and then go straight into the forest. Behind the transmitter mast, we stay left to reach the country road between Obersdorf-Rödgen and Niederdielfen. At the steep curve above Niederdielfen, we turn left and continue to follow the signs towards Pfaffenrain, which leads us along above the town development. Shortly before the end of our hike, a detour to the Förderturm is possible - the path is signposted. Alternatively, we follow the Jakobsweg and return to our starting point at the Eremitage.

The circular route can be ideally started at the Eremitage or at the transmitter mast between Rödgen and Niederdielfen. A detour to the Förderturm is recommended and marked in nature.
