Hüttenmann und Bergmann – Sinnbilder Siegerländer Arbeitswelt

Hüttenmann und Bergmann erinnern an die lange Tradition des Siegerlandes als Erzbergbauregion.
Die beiden überlebensgroßen Standbilder haben ihren Platz am Brückenkopf der Oberstadtbrücke. Geschaffen wurden die beiden Figuren von dem in Siegen geborenen Künstler Prof. Friedrich Reusch anlässlich einer Industrieausstellung im Jahre 1902. Im Volksmund werden die bronzenen Sinnbilder Siegerländer Arbeitswelt liebevoll „Henner“ und „Frieder“ genannt.
