Residenztheater Bad Laasphe
The Residenz cinema in Bad Laasphe shows a select programme, which is a successful mixture of current blockbusters, children’s films and more serious films from the “Kulturkino” (“culture cinema”) programme (showing every Wednesday at 8pm) and “Kirchen und Kino” (“churches and cinema”; one showing per month). Here, more serious films are shown that aren’t always shown in cinemas. Every last Tuesday of the month, there’s a sneak preview, a kind of “pre-première”, when a film is shown that is not launched in the cinemas until a few weeks later. When the tickets are sold, the audience doesn’t yet know which film they’ll watch.
At the weekends, there’s a “children’s cinema”, when selected children’s films are shown at a reduced price by the NRW film foundation.
The cinema is connected to a small lounge where guests can meet for a relaxed drink before or after the film.
Naturally, delicious popcorn, tacos and slushes are also available, as are other tasty snacks that are an essential part of any enjoyable cinema experience.
Cinema 1 is barrier-free and has wheelchair access.
