From Bad Laasphe the bike route follows the Lahntal bike path together until Feudingerhütte, just before Feudingen.
Here the route turns off into the idyllic Ilsetal - one of the most beautiful valleys in the Wittgenstein region. On a lonely district road, the route follows the meandering course of the Ilse stream.
Those with stamina can take a detour via the hiking trail B2 to the dreamy Weidelbacher Weiher. At the junction to Banfe, a short, steep climb leads up to the “Indel”, before descending with beautiful views into the widely opening Banfetal.
From Banfe, with its remarkable two-towered church, a bike path leads through the lovely valley via the villages of Banfe, Herbertshausen and Laaspherhütte back to Bad Laasphe.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
A detour to the Weidelbacher Weiher is worthwhile. The pond, covered with water lilies in summer, invites you to dream, and after a rest on the bench by the shore, you will have enough energy to make your way home.
On the way back, a visit to the village cafe in Laaspherhütte (located directly on the route) is recommended - open only on Sundays!
