The 30 km long circular route connects North Rhine-Westphalia and the adjacent Hesse mainly on paved roads and offers beautiful views and great dining options.

The cycling route initially follows a bike path through the villages Laaspherhütte and Herbertshausen to Banfe. It then continues along the slope of the beautiful Banfe valley to the Hesselbach valley. Here the route turns left towards Hesselbach. At the end of the village, a short ascent must be mastered before the path leads downhill into the Boxbach valley behind the state border. In the Boxbach valley – with a far-reaching mining tradition – the route passes the Waldhotel Gille, then continues to the small village of Wiesenbach and over Breidenbach into the valley of the Perf. Here the route meets the Seenradweg which leads cyclists to the Perfstausee. The dam, beautifully located and completed in 1993, invites you to a pleasant rest (tip: Seeblick restaurant). Afterwards, it goes over Breidenstein with its impressive half-timbered castle to Wallau. Together with the Lahntalradweg, the tour leads back through the Lahn valley to Bad Laasphe.
