From the Hickengrundhalle in Niederdresselndorf, the circular hiking trail first leads a short distance through the village, then continues on forest paths to reach the Hirzgabel. Parts of the path lead through the Weiher and Winterbach nature reserves with their rare animal and plant species. From the Hirzgabel, an unmistakable view opens up over the Hickengrund and its villages. Along the way, there is an opportunity to take a small break at the Hirzgabel resting place and enjoy the tranquility.

Directions
The starting point of our short hike is the Hickengrundhalle in Niederdresselndorf. From here we walk south along Westerwaldstraße and then turn left onto Hindenburgstraße. We keep right and come onto Dresselndorfer Straße, where we also continue to the right. It leads us to Oberdresselndorf, where we turn left onto the path into the forest. We follow Raingarten to Rabenscheider Weg, turn left there and turn left again at the second fork. Now we follow the path for quite a while, then hike up to the right. Afterwards, we turn left twice and begin the descent to get back onto Dresselndorfer Straße. From here, we return via Hindenburgstraße and Westerwaldstraße back to the Hickengrundhalle.
