At the DSV Nordic Aktiv Zentrum Girkhausen, cross-country skiing enthusiasts get their money's worth. The altitude offers comparatively high snow reliability. The entry is possible both from the ski hut „Auf der Steinert“ and from the Albrechtsplatz parking lot at the B480/B236 intersection. Due to the wide tracks, all trails are continuously groomed in classical and skating techniques and have a direct connection to the Rothaarloipe. There are dining options and ski rental in the ski hut located directly on the trail.

From Winterberg - B 480 heading south, Hoheleye - exit on the left towards Girkhausen, L 721 to Girkhausen around village center, turn right onto the street "Im Ermelsbach," follow the street straight ahead until the ski hut is reached on the right-hand side.
