The path is asphalted for the most part and only lightly gravelled on short sections. Sunny passages alternate with wooded areas, and repeatedly there is a nice view of the water surface of the reservoir. The path partly touches the nearby calorie trail, where children also have fun at the "exercise equipment". Along the path, there are information boards about the reservoir and the surrounding nature.

Directions
We start the circular walk around the Breitenbachtalsperre at the dam and follow the paved path. Many benches along the way invite you to linger. The circular route is suitable for people with limited mobility. It is also popular with families with children, as it is buggy and child bike friendly. Sporty people also enjoy the route for jogging, cycling, or inline skating. Mutual consideration is of course expected.
A barrier-free dining option at the end of the route is located in the old watchhouse.

On B508 coming from Kreuztal or Dahlbruch, turn left onto Talsperrenstraße in Allenbach and follow it to the parking lot.
Free parking directly at the dam.
Take bus line R11 to Allenbach Talsperrenstraße and then continue on foot to the Breitenbachtalsperre
