City route through Hilchenbach

From the historic marketplace, you can discover the town hall and Wilhelmsburg. Turning left on Rothenberger Straße, after a few meters you reach Gerbergasse; following it to the left, you return to the marketplace. In the area of the Protestant church on the upper market, you will also find the Jung-Stilling monument, the Jewish memorial stone, the town fountain, and the birthplace of Wilhelm Münker. Via Bruchstraße, you reach the birthplace of Carl Kraemer and the old town hall. Turn left onto Trift street, and at the intersection turn left again onto In der Herrenwiese. On the left side is the Catholic church. Via Ruinener Weg, you get close to the historic marketplace. However, you continue along Dammstraße to its end and discover the historic half-timbered house.

If you want to stay active:

Cross Rothenberger Straße and head down Ferndorfstraße. Behind the Celenus Fachklinik Hilchenbach, there is a multigenerational playground, a barefoot path, and a bowling alley. Continuing along the street, you will find the heated outdoor pool and the mini-golf course.

Take bus line R11 from Kreuztal to the Hilchenbach-Markt stop.

Take the regional train RB93 (Rothaarbahn) to Hilchenbach station and follow the signs to Hilchenbach marketplace.
