Directions
We start at Erndtebrück station and follow the cycle path signs to the town center and from there to the village of Benfe. From here it is not far to the historic Eisenstraße. Here we keep right and follow the signposts back to Hilchenbach-Lützel. The Eder spring and the Hohenroth forester's lodge (refreshment option on weekends) with red deer enclosure invite you to take a break. In Lützel, we cross the federal road and ride up Gillerbergstraße to the summit. Behind the large car park on the left is the Giller Tower. After another break with a view from the tower, it goes downhill to the Ginsburg with tower climb. It continues downhill to the federal road B 508. Here we cross the road and follow the cycle path on the opposite side towards Vormwald to Hilchenbach station.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
Along the route are the Eder spring and the Hohenroth forester's lodge. On the summit of the Giller there is the Giller Tower - a lookout tower that you should definitely climb. The view is excellent. Passing by the landmark, the Ginsburg, is also a must. A detour to the Ginsburg with tower climb and a stop at the Ginsburg tavern are recommended.
Safety guidelines
Wearing a bicycle helmet is recommended.
