The Ginsburg is the emblem of Hilchenbach. The castle ruin, which is a listed monument, is a central contact point for hikers and day-trippers. It lies directly on the Rothaarsteig and offers its visitors probably the most beautiful view along the route.

Directions
You follow the Rothaarsteig feeder route. First through the Dammstraße, then after the roundabout turn left into the street "An der Wilhelmsburg" above the district of Vormwald across wonderful meadowland. After passing through a piece of forest, you reach the Rothaarsteig. Follow it to the right and continue on to the Ginsburg. For the return journey, feeder route 2 is recommended via the Vormwald station and through the village of Vormwald to Hilchenbach.
