The kestrel route is a circular route around the village of Berghausen.

The small circular route leads from the village center via the street "Am Brunkel" to the so-called Rabekippel. The name derives from a hill where crows – mistakenly called ravens in Berghausen – like to stay. From here, walkers can enjoy a view over the roofs of industrial enterprises in the front Truft valley towards the houses in the lower Winterscheid.

8) Rabekippel

From here, you can observe not only crows and magpies but also kestrels throughout the year both during courtship and hunting.

9) Krimmelsdell

The path continues along the forest trail on the northern side around the Berg Ecke. There it also meets the grey heron path. Both paths lead together to the Stump junction above the Krimmelsdell, home of the Berghäuser shooting club.

10) Muckebach

View from Seiberich to the settlement "Muckebach", which was developed from 1965 onwards.
