Idyllic route over the legendary Galgenberg, along the Puderbach, over paths "lined with cherry trees".

Idyllic route that offers beautiful views from the heights, along a small stream, through the small district of Puderbach with its old fortified church, and back over paths lined with numerous cherry trees through the Dreisbachtal and the Hirtsgrund.

Directions

From Bad Laasphe, the path initially leads up to the legendary "Galgenberg", around which many Wittgenstein legends revolve. It is said that in earlier times gallows were erected here where witches were hanged. The name is historical and has true historical significance, although nothing of it can be seen today. After crossing the hill, the path descends and leads idyllically through green meadows. On the left is the Litzelbach forester's lodge, which can only be seen from a distance and is not passed. At the end of the descending path, you reach the connecting road from Bad Laasphe to Puderbach, which must be crossed. From here, the L8 runs almost parallel to the little river Puderbach until the village of Puderbach is reached. A detour to the landmark old fortified church with its defiant tower is worthwhile. Through the Dreisbachtal, the path returns toward the starting point and is partly lined with numerous cherry trees. Slightly descending, it goes back through the Hirtsgrund with the opportunity to take another short, scenic rest above a large meadow. Then it continues through the village back to the town center.
