Scenic circular route that offers impressive views not only at sunrise.

Initially, flat, still asphalted sections through green pastures are soon replaced by steady climbs, offering wonderful views that are no less impressive than the impressive wind turbines that roar high up on Wartholzkopf above Wittgenstein region.

Directions

The path starts at the Haus des Gastes in Bad Laasphe and initially runs along the Lahn towards Wallachei. You walk briefly through a residential area before the path continues initially paved parallel to the planet trail to Laaspherhütte. Shortly before, the path turns off to the left. Those who want can make the detour to Laaspherhütte. On weekends, the DorfCafe Schmidt is open here and provides a refreshment on the beautiful hike. From here, the L2 gains altitude and leads up around Wartholzkopf and along the Rubenberg back to Bad Laasphe. Tip: a detour to the wind turbines is worth it. The sight of these huge structures alone is impressive, and the view from up here is no less imposing. From here, the path descends and runs along the Bucheborn side back along the Tretenbach to Bad Laasphe.
