In 2019, the residents of Schameder celebrated the first known documented mention of the place 700 years ago. Many projects were carried out on the occasion of this anniversary. In addition to four highlights of the anniversary year – a commemorative celebration, a star hike, a standing parade, and an airshow – further ideas were implemented. In spring 2019, specially made house signs were issued. House names such as "Jörgehennrijes," "Rejtersch," or "Schneirersch," laser-engraved into massive metal signs, are intended to keep the old names used for centuries in memory. Based on an idea of the rural women, a traditional farmer's garden was also created together with the local heritage association at the little homeland house in the village center.
The installation of the first field name signs took place in 2021 by some members of the local heritage association and historically interested citizens, with support from local businesses.
