Wäller Runde

The 13.1 km circular hike starts at the village square in Vormwald. There are also some parking spaces here.

It is recommended to hike counterclockwise. First, the federal road B 508 must be crossed. Following the trail sign, you enter the street "Am Bühlberg." After about 200 m, leave the street and turn left onto a forest path. Now follow the trail sign, steadily uphill, to the height of the "Bracken" hut. Here turn right first and then left at the next fork to descend gently in curves to the Hermann-Löns monument. Then turn left towards the Ruheforst; but before reaching it, turn left again to the Anna-Ursula spring. Only a few meters further, the Wäller Runde meets the Hilchenbacher Höhenring. Both trails lead to Vormwald station. The Wäller Runde continues to the left here. Follow the trail sign and the beautifully forested bike path to comfortably reach the center of Vormwald. Following the path marker to the right, cross the B 508 again and hike parallel to the federal road to the right. Passing a large farm on the left, you go to the height where the Wäller Runde meets the Rothaarsteig access trail. Always with Vormwald in sight and wonderful distant views to Siegen make the further hike a pleasure. Over hiking and farm roads, past the reading bench in Vormwald, you now comfortably return to the starting point of the hike.

Backpack provisions and hiking clothes are recommended.

By car via the B 508 to Vormwald.

Parking is available at the community center / fire station Vormwald.

By regional train RB 93 to Vormwald-Dorf.

A tasting at the "Vier Hasen" distillery is highly recommended for schnapps lovers. Advance registration is desired.
