Scenic circular route with a visit to the source

The Lahn source route is an ideal addition for cyclists on the Lahntal cycle path who start in Bad Laasphe or Feudingen and do not want to miss the source! From Bad Laasphe, the cycling route follows the Lahntal cycle path through the wide valley of the upper Lahn initially to Feudingen and further to Glashütte. Here the valley of the young Lahn narrows, and the route leads through cool mixed forest up to the source. After a short break with opportunities to stop for refreshments in Lahnhof, the route descends into the beautiful Ilse valley. There, in Heiligenborn, a small detour to the legendary Ilse source is possible. Behind the hamlet of Lindenfeld, a short, steep climb leads over into the Banfe valley. From Banfe, the route runs on a cycle path through the lovely valley back to Bad Laasphe.
