- Destination: Siegen-Niederschelden
From the source in Siegen-Wittgenstein, the Sieg cycle path runs through the most forested district in Germany via Netphen and Siegen.
We recommend using the regional rail service between Mudersbach-Niederschelderhütte (Bhf. Niederschelden) initially to Au (Sieg) with the RB 90 and from there to Windeck-Rosbach (S12/S19).
The official Sieg cycle path then begins in Windeck-Rosbach. It leads via Eitorf, Hennef, Siegburg, and Troisdorf to the mouth of the Sieg into the Rhine at Niederkassel-Mondor. Along the entire route, the Sieg cycle path crosses the Sieg several times.

Safety guidelines
Due to the poor quality of the cycle path in the Altenkirchen district section, a family-friendly long-distance cycle path is unfortunately not available there for the time being. The current route frequently runs directly on the heavily trafficked federal highway 62 and is therefore too dangerous. We recommend using the regional rail service between Mudersbach-Niederschelderhütte (Bhf. Niederschelden) initially to Au (Sieg) with the RB 90 and from there to Windeck-Rosbach (S12/S19).
