Walk through the Insbach Valley to Grund

From Hilchenbach market square we go through Dammstraße and Trift to the junction at the train station, cross straight over and follow Mühlenweg to the right, which runs always to the left of the railway track. Through Grunder Straße we follow the street until it bends left down to the Insbach. Now we follow the course of the stream, always along the valley until we reach Grund. A rest shortly before Grund at the Kneipp barefoot pool is recommended. Upon reaching the main street, we cross it and walk back a few meters, then turn left onto a wide field path, which leads to Grund. Through the street Auf der Burg we reach the village center. Here we can wait for the community bus and return to Hilchenbach or take a leisurely walk back along the same route to Hilchenbach.

No special equipment is required for the walk. The path runs on paved and forest trails.

By car via the B 508 to Hilchenbach.

Free parking spaces are signposted in the town area of Hilchenbach.

By Hilchenbach community bus: Monday to Friday from Hilchenbach market at 8:00 am, 10:30 am, and 1:00 pm.

Return from Grund village center (fire station): Monday to Friday at 8:13 am, 10:43 am, and 1:13 pm.
