The circular route runs along the Elberndorf stream through the spruce and beech forest of Erndtebrück. Alongside the meandering Elberndorf, hikers encounter many natural attractions. On the stream side, poor mountain meadows, shoulder grass lawns, or extremely rare transitional and swinging grass bogs alternate the appearance. Occasionally, there are pond areas inhabited by various animal species.

The paths are partly lined with several chestnut trees and mainly run on forest and gravel service roads.

Up to the large cross path beech tree, which towers at the intersection of the "Old Erndtebrück country road," the hiker climbs some elevation on the route but is then gently led back down into the valley.

Directions

Starting at the hiking parking lot 'In der Elberndorf', the circular route follows the A6 signs continuously after a brief crossing of district road 33.

On the left side extends the Elberndorf forest meadow valley with the meandering stream, while the right side is predominantly characterized by spruce forest. After the sign of the nature reserve on the right, the path leads to the monument of the Erndtebrück forest cooperative.

At the westernmost point of the circular route, the path crosses a bridge up into the tall beech forest. After the ascent, there is a junction at the highest point of the hiking route. At this height, the "Old Erndtebrück country road" intersection is crowned by the 'cross path beech tree'.

The next section leads downhill again into the denser spruce forest. Here, before the bridge with its red railing over the Elberndorf, the path turns right again, back toward the parking lot.

Coming out of the spruce forest, the path becomes increasingly open and finally runs along the meadows and paddocks back to the hiking parking lot 'In der Elberndorf'.
